I have a wealth of experience in public speaking and group facilitation, all through my career I have been involved in hosting workshops, talks and seminars. I have been a corporate mental health ambassador and often work with people on a consultancy basis to promote and improve workplace well being. I am unique in that I have over 20 years’ experience as a corporate employee, in financial services and management as well as the training and experience of psychotherapy. I know from personal experience some of the issues in the workplace and how important mental fitness can be, while taking into account the psychology of human behavior.
I tailor make corporate workshops to suit your business needs using research driven techniques and evidence based results. I work with organisations doing well being talks, personalized workshops and one to one coaching. Ideally I will meet with you beforehand to assess your organisations needs so that I can deliver a personal program suitable to you. Seminars can range from a half hour to two full days.
I am very passionate about what I do and promote mental health wherever possible. I often give free local talks at community level about ways to improve and maintain mental fitness. Keep an eye on Acora Therapy’s social media or drop me a line for more details.
Some corporate talks may be eligible for CPD hours, please contact me to inquire.

Testimonials:
“Gillian worked with us at Standard Life to help promote our culture of Care. She met with the Team to discuss our goals as a business and tailored a workshop “How to be Happy” to fit our timeslot and budget. The workshop was a great success with loads of practical tools and tips to really bring that feeling of happiness to the forefront and the little stones she gave everyone were a lovely touch! We would be delighted to work with Gillian again in the future.”
Susan Carey, Regional Lead for the Mental Health Network of Standard Life.
“We had Gillian in to give an open talk on emotional & mental well-being for our students and staff members. The talk was well tailored for English language learners and was delivered in a clear and engaging format which the students could follow. This was followed by a lively Q&A which gave a great platform for our students to practise their English, as well as allowing them the chance to gain professional advice on such issues as homesickness, handling stress and maintaining their mental well-being.
We have also booked Gillian to give a CPD talk to all staff members. Her friendly, warm and informative approach was well received by our students and by the teachers who attended, and we could all do with devoting more of our time to our mental health.”
James Fagan, Teacher OHC Dublin, English Language Academy.
“The evening was very informative as an introduction to subjects that many aren’t wholly comfortable with. Topics were explained in a comprehensive way, but delivered in an engaging and entertaining manner with plenty of opportunity for questions and participation. “
Hector Heathwood, Photographer, attendant at the talk “Walk Your Own Path”
