Anxiety is the body and mind’s natural reaction to threat or danger, referred to as the “fight or flight” response. Everybody experiences anxiety at times. These emotions help us to survive by ensuring that we are alert and responsive to the danger. Anxiety problems are more severe, longer lasting and interfere with a person’s work, daily activities and relationships. Anxiety problems involve a frequent unpleasant feeling of uneasiness, apprehension, worry and fear. Often anxiety is presented with panic attacks, depression or phobias.
